Walter LeRoy “Bud” Trimble

Traer: Walter LeRoy “Bud” Trimble age 82 passed away Thursday, April 19, 2018 at Grandview Nursing Center in Oelwein. He was born January 20, 1936 at home in Dysart, IA the son of Harold and Mary Louise (Kithcart) Trimble.  Walter or “Bud” as he was named shortly after birth by his grandfather, moved to Traer at a young age and lived there for several years. He graduated from Traer High School and worked with his father, Harold for many years at Trimble Welding Shop in Traer. Bud was also a member of the Iowa National Guard and received an Honorable Discharge at the end of his service. He married Janet M. Mills, December 10, 1966 and they later divorced after raising eight children.

Bud is survived by his eight children; Bonnie (Chris) Chazotte of Asheville, NC, John Trimble of Dike, IA, Charlotte (Jack) Teetsel of Cadillac, MI, Andrew (Roxanne) Trimble of LaPorte City, IA, Richard (Kris) Trimble of Cedar Falls, IA, LaDonna (Jeremy) Langstraat of Pleasantville, IA, Philip (Lani) Trimble of Waverly, IA, and Kayeleen (Brent) Luloff of Waterloo, IA. He is the grandfather to 22 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Lois Jean (Jack) Martin of Denton, TX along with several nieces and nephews.

Walter was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Mary Louise Trimble, an older brother Wayne Trimble and younger brother, James Trimble and three grandchildren, Brianna, Cody and William Trimble.

A Family Celebration of Life will be held at the funeral home.

  5. Condolences on Bud’s passing. I have been a Grandview volunteer for bingo for several years and have often acted as an assisted to Bud. May God’s peace be with all his family.
