Beverly Ann Duffy age 88 of Waterloo passed away on March 8, 2025 at Oelwein MercyOne. Beverly was born May 14, 1936 in rural Fairbank as the daughter of Bernard “Allie” and Florence Gardner. Beverly would spend her younger years growing up in Fairbank where she attended and graduated from Fairbank High School.
Beverly would go on to marry Warren Duffy in the winter of 1955. They spent the rest of their lives together in Waterloo until Warren’s passing in 2008. Beverly worked as an engineering analyst for John Deere in Waterloo until her retirement in 1993. Beverly enjoyed spending her days outside in her yard and garden where she had quite the green thumb for raising beautiful flowers. Her neighbors could never seem to keep up with her well-kept yard as she was known to spend many hours working on it. When she wasn’t working in her yard or watching the birds that she enjoyed so much you could find her trying her luck on the slot machines at the casino.
Beverly is survived by: One son Craig (Chaluay) Duffy of Waterloo; Granddaughter Jennifer (Tregg) Scott of Idaho; Grandson David (Maigua) Duffy of Florida; One sister Brenda Fox; and 6 great grandkids. Brother-in-law Norman (Shirley) Duffy of Fairbank.
She is preceded in death by: Her parents, Bernard and Florence; husband Warren; and one brother Dale Gardner
