REV. FRANKLIN VERNON MOORE

rev-franklin-vernon-moore-bible-pictureWATERLOO-Rev. Franklin Vernon Moore of Waterloo, died Thursday, September 10, at Covenant Medical Center in Waterloo,  due to complications following a fall.

He was born July 10, 1935, at Lucern, Missouri, son of William Franklin and Leta (Mae) Moore.

He married Joanne Happekotte on September 9, 1961 in Waterloo, Iowa.

Survived by: his wife, Joanne, of Waterloo; one daughter, Rebecca Moore, of  Waterloo; two sons, Lt. Col. Timothy (Lisa) Moore, of Leesburg, Virginia; Philip (Suzan) Moore, of Cape Girardeau, Missouri.  Two Grandchildren.  One brother, Charles Marcus Moore, of  Davenport, Iowa; one sister, Carolyn Hockett, of  Des Moines, Iowa.

Preceded in death by: his parents, William and Leta Moore, and one brother, Perry Moore.

He had been a minister for forty-five years, serving  churchs in Iowa, Missouri, Kansas, Illinois, Kentucky, Wisconsin and last in Fairbank, Iowa.

Services at: 1:30 p.m. on Monday, September 14,  at First Baptist Church in Dunkerton, with Rev. Tommy Rucker officiating.  Burial in Garden of Memorials Cemetery, Waterloo, Iowa.  Public visitation on Sunday from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. and on Monday at the church starting at 1:00 p.m.

Casket Bearers-Scott Moore, Kirby Moore, Craig Moore, Jeff Hockett, Jason Hockett and Bob Nesselroad.
