scan0001FAIRBANK-Richard L. and Donna M. Wierck , of Fairbank, died Saturday, May 23, 2009 at Cresco, due to a motorcycle accident.

Donna Mae Wierck was born on April 1, 1958 in Manchester, Iowa, daughter of Lawrence  Lee and Betty Mae (Lewis) Hunizker.

Donna graduated from East Buchanan High School, Winthrop.  She married Richard Lawrence Wierck on August 20, 1977 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Fairbank, Iowa. 

Survived by: one daughter, Brandy (Trent) Zuck, Dunkerton, three sons: Bronson Wierck and Amanda, Fairbank , Brock Wierck and Brent Wierck, Fairbank. Seven grandchildren , Quincy, Elijah, Blake, Caitlyn, Kirstin, Adelynn and Lennon. Her mother, Betty Hunziker, Winthrop; five sisters, Barb (Don) Cook, Independence, Charlotte (Bill) Postel, Independence, Joyce Koehler, Winthrop, Shirley (Cecil) Pillard, Coggon, Norma (Raymond)Pillard, Coggon.  Four brothers, Larry (Pat) Hunziker, Shellsburg, Paul (Terri) Hunziker, Independence, Ron (Kathy) Hunziker, Williamsburg, Richard Hunziker, Winthhrop.

Preceded  in death by : her father, Lawrence Lee Hunizker, brother in-law, Allen Koehler and her paternal and maternal grandparents.

Richard Lawrence Wierck, was born September 4, 1958 in Oelwein, Iowa, son of William Alfred and June (Teachout) Wierck.

Richard graduated from Wapsie Valley High School,  Fairbank.  He married Donna Mae Hunizker on August 20, 1977, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Fairbank, Iowa.

Survived by: one daughter, Brandy (Trent) Zuck, Dunkerton, three sons, Bronson Wierck and Amanda, Fairbank, Brock Wierck, and  Brent Wierck, Fairbank. Seven grandchildren, Quincy, Elijah, Blake, Caitlyn, Kirstin, Adelynn and Lennon.  Three brothers, James (Shirley) Wierck, Des Moines, Robert (Shelli) Wierck, Fairbank and Dennis Wierck, OK.

Preceded in death by: his parents, and paternal and maternal grandparents.

Services: on Thursday, May 28, . Funeral lunch at Fairbank Legion Hall at 11:30 a.m., visitation at funeral at 1:00 p.m. ,  funeral at 2:00 p.m. at Peace Lutheran Church in Oelwein.

Visitation at: on Wednesday, May 27, from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at funeral home.
