MILDRED (MILLY) R. KAUFMAN

scan0006FAIRBANK: Mildred (Milly) Raejean Kaufman, of Fairbank, died Thursday, December 31, at her home in Fairbank.

She was born on November 24, 1924 at Traer, Iowa, daughter of Joseph and Ruth (LeFever) Drahos.

She married Wallace F. Kaufman on February 9, 1948 at St. Johns Catholic Church, Waterloo, Iowa.

Survived By: four daughters: Dianne (Joe) Rubino, Donna (Dean Mangrich) Costello, and Karen (Kevin) Coffin all of Fairbank, and Elaine (Charles) Henry of Broomfield, Colorado.  Two sons, Mark Kaufman of Waterloo, and Kevin (Denise Youngblut) Kaufman of Fairbank.  Nineteen grandchildren, Jeff (Tami) Rubino, Jennifer (Matt)  Davidson, JaNae Rubino, Lisa Rees, Leon (Heather) Costello, Myles Costello, Matt (Brenda) Coffin, Mitchell Coffin, Michael Coffin, Adam (Tammy Niehaus & Brady) Kaufman,
Andy (Brook) Kaufman, Aaron (Kristin)Kaufman, Derek Kaufman, Carter Kaufman, Dana Weber, Levi Henry, Ian Henry, Isaac Henry, Lacey Henry and twelve great-grandchildren. Her mother in-law, Marie Kaufman, Oelwein; brother in-law, Michael Schmitz, Gilbertsville; her brother, Duane (Joan)  Drahos, Shell Rock and her brother in-laws, James Kaufman, Jerry Kaufman, of Fairbank, Jack Kaufman of Cedar Rapids and Tim Kaufman of Wisner, Nebraska.  Three sister in-laws, Connie Broell and Mary Kay Kaufman of  Waterloo, Susan Schutt of Egan, Minnesota.

Preceded in death by: husband Wallace, May 18, 2005, and her parents Joseph and Ruth Drahos, son in-law Michael Costello, granddaughter, Marie Coffin and great-granddaughter, Miranda Davidson.  One sister, Helen Schmitz and one brother, Merle Drahos.

Services: at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, January 4, Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Fairbank, with burial in the Church Cemetery.  Visitation on Sunday, January 3, from 1:00 to  5:00 p.m. on Sunday, with rosary at 1:30 p.m. and Scripture Service at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorials may be to Iowa Hospice  Association or be directed to the family.
