FAIRBANK – Kathryn “Katie” Sarah Reith of Fairbank, died Thurday, July 30, 2009 at Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo of a sudden illness at the age of 85.
She was born October 20, 1923 in Bremer County, Fairbank, Iowa. Daughter of William and Blanche Veronica (Shannon) Kane.
She married Leo James Reith on June 27, 1953 at St. John’s Catholic Church, Independence, Iowa.
Survived by: One son Jeff (Lynne) Reith of Waterloo; two grandchildren, Jodi (Mike) Maas of St Michael, MN, Mark Reith of Waterloo. Two great granddaughters, Hailey and Madison Maas of St Michael, MN. One sister, Margaret Staack of Oran.
Preceded in death by: Husband, Leo, July 18, 2006. Two sons, Jerry 2003, Jim in 2005. Her parents,  two sisters, Agnes Kane in infancy and Genevieve Gritton.  One brother, Joe Kane.
Services at: 10:30 Monday, August 3, 2009 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Fairbank with burial in Church Cemetery. Public visitation on Sunday from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. with 4:00 Rosary and Scripture Service at 6:30 all at the funeral home.
